Design Management and Prototyping for bioTenzor

I did a complete design turnaround in a few weeks, reset the process, and got the same team to collaborate on a radically more compact, user-friendly and unique design.

Over the course of many months, we did physical mockups, biomechanical measurements, photorealistic renderings and innovated in close collaboration with the engineering team. We finished with a invention of a brand style, logo and website.

Mockups and rapid prototyping

To test and validate ergonomics and machine layouts, we used rapid prototyping methods.

We then split into two tracks:

Detailed validation of ergonomics using expert input, market research and functional mockups in wood and metal.
Visual mockups using cardboard and foam, to nail the distances, corner radii, and spatial relations of details like cushions, screen placement, cup holder and phone cradle – modern day conveniences that help differentiate the products even further.
